Basketball Decision Training or BDT
Started by Chris Oliver as game specific drills that help coaches transform their drill into more game realistic
Partners work with each other to create cues for their partner to read on every catch. The cues simulate what a defender would do during a game.
Here are the four BDT signals:
Hands down = catch and shoot
Hands out = pass and relocate
Hands up = attack the basket
Step to the side = attack the basket, use a counter move
BDT Shooting Drills
Warm-up: Balance Series
Half Turns- make 10 at 5 spots
Full Turns- make 10 at 5 spots
BDT Attack Series
Warm-up: Balance Series
1 Foot Half Turns- make 10 at 5 spots
1 Foot Full Turns- make 10 at 5 spots
BDT Mix Drills
